Pair of tall candle holders

I found a piece of ash in my wood store, it looked like it was another of those pieces I had fished out of a firewood pile. Nice, straight grain, but very rectangular. So I decided to cut it down the middle and make these candle holders.

Classic elegant shape, with a cup in the top to hold a standard candle. Cracks were filled with super glue, and a simple finish with a soft sheen.
