Here be dragons

This is a a dragon’s egg, right at the moment before the beast springs into life. Already it’s cracking and the dragons golden fire shines through the green egg. Can you see it?

A piece of cedar, transformed into a thing of beauty, through careful hollowing, sanding, carving, colouring, more sanding, more colouring, and finally covered with acrylic lacquer to preserve it for a long life.
