Golden hollow form

This hollow form displays the ripples in the sycamore extremely well. It was turned from green wood, which explains the slight step on the upper side, where the wood decided to warp in an unexpected manner. That’s all part of making things from wood, it is a living material.

The intense yellow stain brings out the heavy ripples in the grain wonderfully, and this surely is an attention grabber.
